It has been a banner year of sorts for Saira.

First, there was word that Saira and Richard are expecting twins in November 2010 - which is likely a first within the Joseph family since one cannot recall any other instances where there have been twins within the extended Joseph family.

Then came news that Saira had been promoted to Vice President - Business Development, at Gannett Corporation. She joined Gannett on the digital side about a year ago as Director - Business Development and so this promotion was a fairly quick move up the corporate ladder. Her prior experience included several years at AOL, Ernst & Young and Chemical Bank. She completed her BA at Smith College and an MBA from Darden College which is the University of Virginia's business school.

Gannett is a major player in the media market connecting millions of people to their communities through multiple platforms including the internet, mobile, newspapers, magazines and TV. It publishes USA TODAY which is the U.S.'s largest-selling daily print newspaper. The broadcasting division has 23 TV stations which reach 21 million households, covering 18.2 percent of the U.S. population.
