On November 1, 2010, history of sorts was made when Saira gave birth to the first set of twins in the Joseph family.

Praveen Richard Stahl and Prakash Thomas Stahl were born in the early afternoon at Reston Hospital in Northern Virginia. Praveen appears at the top left and Prakash is next to him. The middle names of the twins are the first names of the two grandfathers.

Although a month premature, Praveen the older twin by about 15 minutes weighed 6lbs 3oz and Prakash was 5lbs 15 oz. Both were admitted to the intensive care nursery more as a precaution than anything else given the fact that they were premature.

There was a whole host of family present at the hospital in the hours before Saira gave birth what with the fact that she has parents, siblings, an uncle, aunt and cousins who live in the vicinity! And then there was, of course, Richard who had already gone to work and had to return post-haste from over 20 miles away during the rush hour with a couple of accidents along the way to add to the delays and tension. But he made it well before the babies arrived.

This brings to four the number of grand-children that Rana has though he still lags considerably behind George with his seven! But Rana is counting on Neeta and Amit to, in due course, catch up with his elder sibling!!

The entire family congratulates Saira and Richard on being parents again and, of course, the older siblings DJ and Deepali. Shown below are pictures of the proud parents holding one of the twins.
